Hey, I said Bloodhound because I read that the contest was going until Jan 24 2013, after I posted my answer, I saw the link that said “we have a winner”. That’s a bit confusing. Anyway, I have the satisfaction of knowing I was right
I do think this is a great idea to get people interested in adoptable dogs. Shelter dogs need to be seen. Maybe extend this activity to cats, rabbits and other adoptable animals. Great way to get people involved with these animals lives. And by the way, this pup is amazing. Mixed breeds are fantastic. Thank you for sharing this.
I am sorry for the confusion, Jennifer. Thank you so much for participating, though. This time around I was testing out the contest idea, using Ripple. (She is actually our dog that we adopted from rescue 2.5 years ago. She is awesome.) As the contest went on, I realized that it did not make sense to continue once we had that first right guess. I am hoping to have another contest next month, but this time spotlight an adoptable dog from rescue. (If I can interest the rescue group to join in.) I hope you will participate then as well. Now that I have a better sense of the framework, I’ll make sure the parameters are stated clearly and I will not make changes.
